This is what you call expecting and awesome.
David Petyfer lives in London and works in a bookshop delivering books. However, one day he finds Heaven on the roofs of London looking at the stars. She says she has no heart, but she's still alive. David can't do anything for her, but she's bewitching and alluring. With that they set off to find why Heaven is still alive.
I was really looking forward to read this one and it didn't disappoint me, actually it was better then what i expected. The story sets in London (ahhh, home sweet home) which is pretty interesting because it is set in the contemporary London, but, the story is also set in a London where a star fell and with it bought a piece if the sky, which i really wanted to know more because it's not part of our history. Not only do i fall in love with the London in the story, but also the characters. Some how, David and Heaven fit in together like a puzzle. And with Heaven in this circumstances i kept on praying for a happy ending.
The novel starts with a peculiar and unbelievable prologue and when the plot unfolds you get to know the surreal and dark parts of the story and the thing is you get accustomed to it.
In addition, to all of that, i also loved the modern fairy tale that Christoph made in this story, it sounds so believable but also at the same time so unrealistic.
I would love to go rambling on about Heaven, but, the thing is that i might burst and tell you everything about this book in clear detail and spoil it for you, so, to end this review i would like to say that you should give it a chance to read. I'm sure you would love it!

Christoph Marzi was born on 17th May 1970 in Germany. He writes German books, but Heaven is the first book to be published in English.
