Summary:

Mystery, fantasy, forensic science...
and heart-stopping action

And heart-stopping action.
Tory Brenann is as fascinated by bones and dead bodies as her famous aunt, acclaimed forensic anthropologist Tempe Brenann. However, living in a secluded island off Charleston in South Carolina, she doesn't have much opportunity to put her knowledge to the test. Until she and her group of technophiles friends stumble across a shallow grave containing the remains of a girl who has been missing for over thirty years.

With the cold-case murder suddenly hot, Tory realises that they are involved in something fatally dangerous. And when they rescue a sick dog from a laboratory on the same island, it becomes evident that somehow the two events are linked.

On the run from forces they don't understand, they have only each other to fall back on. Until they succumb to a mysterious infection that heightens their senses and hones their insists to impossible levels. Their illness seem to have their very biology-and suddenly it's clear that the island is home to something well beyond their comprehension. It's a secret that has driven men to kill once. And will drive them to kill again.

Review:

Oh God, oh God, oh God. Where do i start? I can't even start to describe this book! By the way, all of this i mean it it in a good way. Virals is mind blowing. Kathy Reichs's writing was unbelievable!

"Mystery, fantasy, forensic science... and heart-stopping action" you can say that again!

Virals is about a girl called Tory Brenann. Her mother died 8 or 6 months ago and now she lives wither dad, "Kit", on the island off Charleston and surprisingly she is nephew of the famous forensic anthropologist, Temprance Brennan and as fascinated by bones as her aunt, Temprance Brennan, Tory is also fascinated by bones. With her skills at hand Tory and her group, Ben, Hi and Shelton are tangled in a big mystery with the lab on Loggerhead island where scientists all around the world come to.

So, first things first. When i saw this book i was like "ok...mmmmm....this sounds nice" and then there was a critic on the cover which was by James Patterson (which by the way i am a big fan of) and he said: "If you like Bones, you'll love Virals." Then i was like Bones. And then i went into a fit like this:

Which probably made me look like a mental person because i was so happy! This is because Bones is my number one mystery drama in the US. So i was like i had to get this book and then got into that fit again and then i actually got worried that was sick, but, no, don't worry i'm not.

Next, i am so jealous of Tory's life. Even though, she lives in a small island it looks more fun than where i live. Do you know how she gets to school? I'll tell you. She goes to school on a boat! A boat! God i'm so jealous.
The plot was just awesome. It was Sherlock Holmes meeting Mr Poirot. Every page you turned you think that the impossible is going to happen and it does! It just gets better and better. In the plot there were action and breaking the law. And this Tory doesn't do alone. She and her group, Ben, Hi and Shelton are all geniuses. Be is the oldest in the group, but ii think he holds a mystery. Hiram or "Hi" is a normal guy with a very sarcastic tongue and finally Shelton; Shelton is half Japanese and half African-American.

All the mystery in this book is bizarre. Every letter and word in this book is like a twist in a maze. Your curiosity just gets just gets more and more worse and then bang it's right in front of your eyes (the answer, that is, by the way.)

Oh God. I would marry this book if i could! Seriously. If you haven't read this you have to read it! So, people what are you waiting for?! Read, read, read!!!

My rating:

supercalifragilisticexpialidocious
