Review:

With mystery, romance and a killer on the loose Slide was keeping me on the edge. I was even biting my nails! Vee has narcolepsy. But she doesn't really sleep when her narcolepsy attacks. She 'slides' into people, when she has an object that is precious to them. And when she does 'slides' she sees through the person's eyes. She hasn't told anyone about it expect her father, but he didn't believe her. Even her best friend, Rollins, doesn't know.

Vee was a strong character. She hid her 'gift' pretty well. She was independent and she even kept her family together when her mother died. she held her head high, although her past in high school was hard. Rollins, her best friend was cute and adorable. He helped Vee in spite of his own problems. Zane, the new-guy, was nice but i didn't like him much and i find that Rollins is much better than him. The romance between Vee and Zane was fast paced. From the first time Vee talked to him she was already falling for him. Then, when they said their feelings to each other it just jumped into a relationship. At the end, when Vee actually found the right man, i was very happy. I'm looking forward to see how their relationship goes in the next book (Imposter).

Jill Hathaway kept me flicking through pages as if my life depended on it, regardless, of the slow start. The concept of 'sliding' was a fun way to see through the murder mystery. I thought i had got the murderer but Jill Hathaway kept on throwing in some more twists and turns into the mystery. In the end, when the mystery was finally solved i was surprised to see who the murderer was and how everyone was, somehow, involved into the two deaths.

Overall, Slide was a fun read with interesting characters and a good story line, despite the slow pace at the start.

  2. This book seems to have good mystery! YA with mystery twists usually fall flat for me because the romance in the books tend to take spotlight of the story, but this book seems to have a good combination of mystery and romance! <3 I'm slightly wavered about the romance between Vee and Zane though - sounds like insta-love for me. Hopefully the mystery and the whole slide thing would be awesome enough to make me forgive the insta-love! x)

    Awesome review, Sangita! <3

  3. I loved the mystery and romance! I really want to see Vi and Rollins get together in Imposter although I felt bad for everything Zane went through and what happened to him. I thought the Sliding was neat! Except when she slide into older people gross! LOL
